Dong Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho Party Committee, and Chairman of the Can Tho People's Council, together with the city's Vice Chairpersons of the People's Council, received a delegation from the People's Council of Champasak Province, Laos, led by Alounxay Sounnalath, Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the Champasak Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Champasak People's Council, during their working visit to Can Tho on the afternoon of June 30.

Tourism activities in Can Tho have continued to recover strongly during the first months of 2026, maintaining solid growth momentum. This positive transformation has further reinforced tourism's position as a key economic sector and an important driver of the city's overall development.

Over the course of 35 years of establishment and development, the Can Tho Union of Friendship Organizations has continuously affirmed its role as a core force in people-to-people diplomacy, becoming an important bridge fostering friendship between the people of Can Tho and international friends. Through these efforts, it has made significant contributions to the city’s socio-economic development and international integration.
