Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, who is also the Secretary of the Central Military Commission, has emphasised the need to strongly reform leadership methods, tighten execution discipline, strengthen political and ideological work, increase inspection and supervision, and roll out decisive actions to swiftly translate the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress into reality in a recent interview to the press.

On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and to congratulate the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Canada-Vietnam Friendship Society (CVFS) organized a seminar in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation. The event aimed to introduce and clarify the significance and outstanding outcomes of the 14th National Congress, Vietnam’s recent development achievements, as well as the strategic objectives for the 2026-2030 period and the vision toward 2045.

The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam has concluded with outcomes of historic significance, drawing widespread attention from international public opinion and media. In the assessments of international observers, the Congress clearly demonstrated Vietnam’s political stability, internal unity, and consistent development orientation on its path toward becoming a developed country by 2045. In particular, the message of a “new era” has been regarded as a prominent hallmark, reflecting Vietnam’s growing stature and potential on the international stage.

On January 27 in Hanoi, Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security held a New Year meeting with ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions, and representatives of international organizations on the occasion of the Lunar New Year Bính Ngọ 2026. General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security, delivered a message outlining orientations for international security cooperation, emphasizing Vietnam’s commitment to standing alongside the international community for peace, stability, and common security.
