Since 2011, the city People’s Council has held 16 meetings, issuing 138 resolutions, including 61 law-regulated resolutions and 42 relating to personnel work.
The adopted resolutions come from factual demand, a majority of which confirming national sovereignty and bringing legitimate and legal interests for enterprises and people.
The work to satisfy people’s aspirations has received great attention from the city People’s Council through a hotline of the Council’s Standing Board. It has become an effective inspection channel and a bridge of exchanging information between people and the Council, thus promptly tackling urgent problems arising in people’s daily lives.
Addressing the meeting, Tran Tho, Chairman of the city People’s Council, said that the Council had completed its working program. “However, meetings with voters should be increased in both number and quality,” he said.
He urged each member of the city People’s Council to review what had been done and what had not for the next generation to draw experience from, so that in the coming term, each member would deserve the people’s trust./.
