In recent years, illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing has continued to pose potential risks, adversely affecting marine resources, the ecological environment, and Vietnam’s reputation in international markets. In response to the urgent need to have the European Commission’s (EC) “yellow card” warning lifted, Dak Lak Province has been implementing a comprehensive set of measures, with a strong focus on public communication and raising legal awareness among citizens, particularly fishermen.

The Dak Lak Union of Friendship Organizations has coordinated with Children of Vietnam (COV/United States) to present 75 gift packages to students of Phu Yen Vocational College whose families were affected by storms and floods in the province.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has signed Decision No. 2543/QĐ-TTg dated November 21, 2025, approving emergency funding for the provinces of Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak to help address damage caused by recent flooding.
