Members of Vietnam's Public Security rescue force participating in the international disaster response mission in Venezuela reached the site of a collapsed apartment building in La Guaira State, where 15 people are believed to remain trapped on July 1. The team immediately began search-and-rescue operations despite hazardous conditions at the scene.

The 26 year-old doctor Tran Thi Hai Anh became the first female in the medical force to join the air ambulance crew of Military Hospital 175, rescuing a fisherman from Song Tu Tay island (Spratly island district) to the mainland. Her unique experience was conveyed in a recent interview with the press.
