On September 19, the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Health, in collaboration with World Vision International in Vietnam (WVI-V), handed over a support package of 50 motorbikes to help vulnerable migrants reintegrate into the community in five communes: Bac Trach, Dong Trach, Bo Trach, Hoan Lao, and Nam Trach.

Support packages and scholarships have been given to pandemic-hit residents and students in the southern region of Vietnam.

The Korea International Co-operation Agency (KOICA) Hanoi office on April 23 provided a support package worth USD 10,530 to the Vietnamese Women’s Union (VWU) to help vulnerable women in Hanoi overcome difficulties caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Plan International Vietnam had provided support for over 400 poor households in 8 project areas around Thua Thien Hue province affected by COVID-19.

Vietnam government has passed a VND62 trillion ($2.6 billion) financial support package for poor people and businesses most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The package, approved by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on April 6, targets six categories of individuals and businesses.

On March 17 in Hanoi, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) signed an agreement to support USD185,000 to the Mekong Delta to overcome drought and saltwater intrusion.
