On June 1, 2026, the Vietnam Film Institute, in collaboration with the Swedish Embassy in Vietnam, organized the opening ceremony of the Vietnam-Sweden Children's Film Week at Ngoc Khanh Cinema (Vietnam Film Institute).

In 1969, while the world’s attention was fixed on the Paris Conference, three young Swiss men quietly raised the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam atop the Notre Dame Cathedral. More than fifty years later, two of them, Olivier Parriaux and Bernard Bachelard, set foot in Vietnam for the first time. They did not come seeking recognition, but to affirm a simple truth: their journey with Vietnam has never ceased.

From November 15 to 19, Ho Chi Minh City had the honor of hosting two distinguished Swiss friends, Olivier Parriaux and Bernard Bachelard.
