On the evening of September 13, at Luu Huu Phuoc Park in Can Tho City, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, the US Diplomatic Mission in Vietnam, and the People’s Committee of Can Tho City jointly organized the 2025 Vietnam-US Friendship Festival. The event formed part of a series of activities commemorating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the US (1995-2025).

The US-Vietnam Friendship Festival was held at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long in Hanoi on December 2, as one among a series of events to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Partnership and the upgrade to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation, and sustainable development. The event was held by the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations in collaboration with the US Embassy to Vietnam.
