On the occasion of Raya Eidil Adha of the Muslim community, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), sent a congratulatory letter to Muslim dignitaries, religious officials, and the entire Muslim community in Vietnam.

Following the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), VFF leaders announced that they will review all emulation movements, boldly terminate activities deemed merely formalistic, and simultaneously introduce new models such as the “Month for Listening to the People,” “Digital Front,” and “Digital Villages” to strengthen direct engagement with citizens and improve the effectiveness of supervision and social criticism.

On the morning of May 13, continuing the working agenda, the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) heard a report on the results of the first conference of the 11th Central Committee of the VFF for the 2026-2031 term.

From a smartphone, many complaints and suggestions related to the environment, urban management, or daily life no longer have to wait for neighborhood meetings to be raised; instead, they are now sent directly to Zalo groups, fanpages, or online feedback portals operated by the Front. The “Digital Front” is therefore not merely about software or applications, but is reshaping how Front work reaches out to, receives, and responds to public feedback.

On May 12, the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) for the 2026-2031 tenure officially opened in Hanoi. In his keynote address, Party General Secretary and State President To Lam emphasized that this Congress marks the beginning of a new development phase for the VFF, characterized by a new position, a new organizational model, and new tasks and requirements. He also stressed that the Front must truly serve as a place that unites the people’s will, reflects public aspirations, and protects the legitimate rights and interests of the people. The Party General Secretary and State President further highlighted five key groups of tasks for the VFF in the new tenure.

For Dr. Phan Bich Thien, President of the Vietnamese Women’s Forum in Europe and President of the Foundation for Hungary-Vietnam Relations, serving for 20 years as a member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) has been both a tremendous honor and a special responsibility toward the overseas Vietnamese community.

In the new era, great national unity is not only a spiritual tradition, but also a national development capacity and a source of strength to unlock resources and creativity, create social consensus, and safeguard the country early and from afar. Unity now means respecting legitimate differences, harmonising interests, taking national interests as common ground, and rallying all patriotic Vietnamese around the aspiration to build a peaceful, independent, democratic, strong, prosperous, civilised, and happy Vietnam, the top leader said.

On May 11, at Discussion Center No. 4 of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) for the 2026-2031 term, delegates proposed continuing to innovate people-to-people diplomacy activities in a more professional and substantive direction, while also developing mechanisms to effectively harness the resources of more than six million overseas Vietnamese, particularly intellectuals, experts, and entrepreneurs within the diaspora community.

On May 11, more than 1,300 delegates attending the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) for the 2026-2031 tenure convened for a preparatory session at the National Convention Center in Hanoi.

The 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term will take place in Hanoi from May 11 to 13, with the participation of more than 1,300 delegates. Among them, Major General Vo So, aged 97, and Lo Thi Nga, aged 23, are two special delegates representing two generations who share their expectations for the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in uniting people from all walks of life, improving livelihoods, and strengthening the great national unity bloc.

On June 30, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and central mass organizations held a conference to announce the Politburo’s decision on personnel appointments. The conference was chaired by Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the VFF and central mass organizations and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien.

The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) opened in Hanoi on October 17, gathering representatives of people from all walks of life, demonstrating the typical image of the great national solidarity bloc.

One of the highlights of the event stressed that during 2021, the VFF, people’s organizations and unions had continued to show a strong performance in people-to-people diplomacy activities with activeness, flexibility, creativity and efficiency.

A working delegation of the Vietnam Football Federation visited the headquarters of the German Football Association (DFB). Along with that, in collaboration with Next Media, the Deutsche Fußball Liga, the Vietnamese Football Federation, and the Vietnam Professional Football League signed a Memorandum of Understanding to encourage the expansion of football in Vietnam.

Vietnam has been placed in the No. 6 seed group, together with Lebanon, among six seed groups for the upcoming draw of the 2022 FIFA World Cup’s third Asian qualifiers.

The new Japanese Technical Director of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Yusuke Adachi highly appreciated the potentialities of Vietnamese football.
