Vietnam-Cuba relations

On June 3, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) held an online meeting to review the results of their cooperation in recent years and discuss directions for collaboration in the 2026-2031 period. The two sides agreed to promote people-to-people exchanges, cooperation between localities, education for younger generations about the special Viet Nam-Cuba friendship, and coordination of activities marking the 100th birth anniversary of Leader Fidel Castro.

At the meeting with President of the Cuban National Assembly Esteban Lazo Hernandez at the Thong Nhat Hall on the evening of October 2, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang affirmed that the special relationship between Vietnam and Cuba over the past 65 years has continued to grow, becoming increasingly solid and a model of pure, loyal, and close-knit international solidarity.

On April 5, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Tran Lan Phuong met with Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen at the Vietnam Women's Union headquarters.

The book "Cuba - Vietnam: Two Nations, One History" records important milestones in the close relationship of sentiment, loyalty, and consistency between Cuba and Vietnam for more than 60 years.

On the evening of September 27, the Awarding Ceremony was held at the National Assembly House to give noble medals to 7 leaders and former leaders of the Vietnamese National Assembly.

Cuba will send a high-ranking delegation to Vietnam on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Fidel Castro's visit to Vietnam.
