Innovating Religious and Belief Affairs to Strengthen the Great National Unity Bloc

Accompanying the nation and living by the principle of “serving both faith and society,” more than 27 million religious followers in Vietnam have made significant contributions to patriotic emulation movements, social welfare initiatives, humanitarian activities, and charitable work. Looking back over the past decade, Conclusion No. 02/KL-MTTW-ĐCT issued by the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) has more clearly defined the requirements for innovation in religious and belief affairs: placing the people, including religious communities, at the center; focusing strongly on grassroots engagement and staying close to the people; promoting the positive cultural and moral values and resources of religions; and contributing to strengthening social consensus in a new stage of national development.

On June 8 in Hanoi, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), received Xian Hui, Vice Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), on the occasion of the delegation’s visit and working trip to Vietnam. The two sides agreed to further leverage their role as a bridge between the peoples of the two countries, promote the implementation of agreed areas of cooperation, contribute to deepening Vietnam-China relations, and realize the common understandings reached by the senior leaders of the two Parties and two States.

"Month for listening to the people," the "Digital Front Portal," and the Social Trust Index are among the initiatives identified by the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for implementation during the 2026-2031 term. These efforts aim to expand public participation, improve the quality of services provided to the people, and make people's satisfaction one of the key indicators for evaluating the Front's performance.

Vietnam Fatherland Front Launches “Month for Listening to the People” and “Digital Villages”

Following the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), VFF leaders announced that they will review all emulation movements, boldly terminate activities deemed merely formalistic, and simultaneously introduce new models such as the “Month for Listening to the People,” “Digital Front,” and “Digital Villages” to strengthen direct engagement with citizens and improve the effectiveness of supervision and social criticism.
